About me

I'm a Singaporean actor, dramaturg, drama educator and CELTA-certified English tutor. I love to read, take nature walks and talk about a wide variety topics. I'm also an avid of Shonda Rhimes' works.

My love for theatre and its criticism has gotten me into troubles with my lecturers but it has never stopped me from challenging what I’ve learnt. To me, theatre is both alive and a concept. It grows organically and forcefully at the hands of artists.

Over the years, I’ve moved in and out of different roles in theatre. From stage crew to front-of-house usher, actor to drama educator, dramaturg to actor trainer.

I presented a paper at the 2021 Arythmia Conference held by LASALLE College of the Arts and was featured in Singapore’s Centre 42 Dramaturg-in-Practice podcast. I’ve also appeared on television series and live performances.

This show is an homage to the knowledge I’ve gained and the ones I’ll keep gaining.

I wish to welcome you into a community of educated audiences for you play a very important role in the growth and sustainability of the theatre ecosystem. Without you, there can never be theatre.

Thank you for being on this journey with me and my fellow theatre practitioners.

XOXO

Mission and Vision

Educating audiences

I hope to educate audiences on theatre matters to inspire deeper appreciation for it. I’ve always believed audience development is one of the keys for a thriving theatre ecosystem.

“You need three things in theatre - the play, the actors and the audience, and each must give something.”

Kenneth Haigh
